Anneke Lucas was born on January 19, 1914, to a Dutch mother and German father. She stood 5 foot 6 inches tall at age 11 and weighed 108 pounds. She grew up in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Her parents were of average height and she became a tall girl herself at 5'11".

In 1914, at age 11, she stood 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighed 108 pounds. She was the tallest girl in her school and the only girl in her class to be a gymnast. During World War I (1914-1918), she served as an army nurse for three years; during that time she received medals for bravery on several occasions. After returning home from war, she went back to school where she graduated as valedictorian with honors from high school in 1932.

In 1933 at age 20 she married Jan Van der Broek who was also known as "The Human Giant" because of his 6'9" height which made him one of Holland's tallest men ever!

She died at age 22, on the 2nd December 1935. She was a Dutch citizen and a singer and actress who was the world's tallest woman. She lived in Amsterdam where she was born in October 1884 to parents who were both 6'4". Her mother reportedly had an extra rib removed during pregnancy to make her taller than her mother, who was 5'8".

She died of tuberculosis caused by malnutrition while living with her lover Albert Willems (7 feet 4 inches) after they moved into an apartment together but before they married or had children together
